King's Quest reviews

Over the holidays, Eva and I played the first seven games in the King's Quest series. Turns out, they're not very good. For the curious, here are my reviews. The title links to the full review.

• King's Quest: Quest for the Crown (1990 Enhanced Version) - 4/10. Frustrating and illogical.
• King's Quest II: Romancing the Throne - 4/10. More frustrating than the first game.
• King's Quest III: To Heir is Human - 6/10. The first playable King's Quest game.
• King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella - 5/10. An okay game marred with several terrible puzzles
• King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder! - 5/10. Nice graphics aren't enough to cover for frustrating gameplay
• King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow - 7/10. A good game, and the best of the series.
• King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride - 6/10. A muddy mess that doesn't match the rest of the series.
