This information is no longer current. Since January 1998 Nevada license numbers have begun two a two digit code identifying the issuing office followed by 8 uncoded digits.
Prior to January 1998, Nevada driver's license numbers were based on the driver's social security number and his year of birth.
Take the SSN, multiply by 2, then add 2,600,000,001. Append the two digit year to the end.
For example, given the SSN of 509-34-2892 and a year of birth of 1951, first remove the dashes to get 509342892.
(SSN x 2) + 2600000001 (509342892 x 2) + 2600000001 (1018685784) + 2600000001 1018685784 + 2600000001 3618685785
Now append the two digit year:
361868578551
